Each CRL FA Series 4/40 and 5/50 Weight Range Sash Balances necessitate the attachment of nylon guides to the top and bottom of the channel using rivets. Customers have the option to purchase channel balances with pre-attached guides or to order guide kits with rivets and mount the guides themselves. Additionally, CRL offers the Cat. No. H3740 Rivet Set Tool, which ensures a very strong set by mushrooming the rivet.

The measures are 5/8" (16 mm) in depth and are commonly referred to as 1/2" (13 mm) in the trade. Balances are available in 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 weight ranges, with lengths ranging from 13" to 43" (330 mm to 1.09 m).

Note: There have been instances where certain window manufacturers have utilized special 1/2" (12.7 mm) increment channel lengths.
