Every CRL FA Series 1/10 Weight Range Sash Balance necessitates one of several types of nylon guides to be riveted onto the top and bottom of the channel. Customers have the flexibility to either order channel balances with pre-attached guides at the factory or order guide kits with rivets included and mount the guides themselves. Additionally, CRL provides the highly practical Cat. No. H3740 Rivet Set Tool, which effectively mushrooms the rivet, ensuring a very strong set.

It is important to note that it measures 5/8" (16 mm) in depth but is commonly referred to as 1/2" (13 mm) in the trade. These balances are available in 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 weight ranges, spanning lengths from 13" to 42" (330 to 1067 mm).

Lastly, some window manufacturers have employed special 1/2" (12.7 mm) increment channel lengths.
