CRL 777 Butyl Rubber is an exceptional sealant crafted using a blend of age-resistant polymers, providing outstanding weathering properties across various temperature ranges. It boasts strong adhesion to most clean surfaces and can endure joint movement of ± 10% without compromising its water-tightness. Additionally, it contains a special UV-resistant agent for an extended service life.

Basic Uses Recommended for exterior applications, this sealant exhibits excellent adhesion to wood, masonry, glass, concrete, some plastics, and metal surfaces. It excels in hidden areas such as under sill cans, thresholds, and around screw heads. It is also perfect for applications between metal building panels, wall-mounted air conditioning units, under aluminum siding, and gutters. The application temperature range is 40° to 120°F (4° to 49°C), and the service temperature range is -20° to 200°F (-29° to 93°C). It can be painted after 24 hours.

Product Warning: Not recommended for use in sealing horizontal decks, patios, driveways, or terrace joints encountering abrasion or physical abuse. Also not recommended for window glazing applications or hidden joint details requiring a non-skinning, non-hardening sealant. The sealant features a solvent-based curing system, and a slight odor of mineral spirits may be detected during application, which is normal. Avoid using it in places where this odor may be objectionable, such as refrigeration units that will be stocked soon after construction.
