The CRL Edgetech Super Spacer® enables the simultaneous production of regular and special-shaped insulating glass units, eliminating the need for desiccant beads or corner keys and saving valuable production time. Available in gray or black, this spacer requires no head compression and features a continuous multi-layer vapor barrier at the corners.

Crafted from superior insulating silicone foam, the Super Spacer® effectively eradicates perimeter edge condensation and significantly reduces overall window heat loss. Its unique design makes it the ideal choice for specialized insulating glass designs, including curved and odd-shaped units, sound insulating, and triple-glazed units with art glass inserts.

For exceptional durability, the spacer is constructed using UV-resistant silicone material to prevent degradation. Its flexible foam construction allows for accommodating glass bowing and thermal movement, while improving edge seal desiccant. The high permeability of the foam ensures fast moisture pick-up. Additionally, backed by a high-performance, multi-layer barrier film, the Super Spacer® effectively reduces moisture vapor transmission and inert gas loss.

The rolls are 66' (20.1 m) long, and special orders can be accommodated for other colors and bulk rolls.

Please note that the Super Spacer® must be used with an edge sealant. We recommend CRL Hot Melt Butyl or CRL 877 Super Spacer® Sealant for this purpose.

Lastly, it's imperative to always wear the proper protective safety gear when working with and handling glass.
