Product Overview
This CRL Prismatic Glass Drill is the unquestionable standard of quality for glass drilling in the flat glass industry. Its tungsten carbide tips ensure the production of hundreds of high-quality holes without the need for frequent sharpening, guaranteeing exceptional efficiency. The extra-long tip further ensures long-lasting and precise drilling.
It is imperative to use Prismatic Drills only in glass drilling machines such as the CRL2, SDM4, and 41, or in a securely held electric drill. We strongly advise against using them with hand brace drills. Additionally, it is crucial to keep the drill cool during drilling using a coolant, such as CRL DTC80.
NOTE: It is non-negotiable to wear the proper safety gear, including gloves and eye protection, when drilling glass. The work should be conducted on a flat, horizontal surface, and using a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter, such as CRL Cat. No. GF1, is a must when using any type of electric tool in conjunction with water or coolant. Disregarding any of these precautions can result in operator injury.
Product Warning: These drills should be run at 400-600 RPM to achieve maximum drilling performance. It is important to note that the tip of the CRL Prismatic Drill is not ground to a sharp point, but instead features a slight angle to allow for the initial scratching of the glass, enabling the drilling of the hole to commence.
