CRL Foam Glazing Tape is a high-performance closed-cell polyethylene foam sealant in tape form, featuring an aggressive acrylic adhesive that seamlessly adheres to wood, vinyl, aluminum, and glass. This tape is specifically designed for exterior glazing applications where glass repositioning is critical before the final setting.

This tape is engineered to function as a primary or secondary seal in various glazing systems and boasts self-shimming properties, eliminating the need for shims or spacers. The patented cellular structured foam is highly resistant to weathering and water absorption, ensuring a superior and long-lasting seal.

A minimum of 30% compression is essential to provide an effective moisture seal. While small lites may achieve this by applying pressure directly to the glazing tape during installation, the use of a compression wedge gasket is recommended for larger lites. Application should be performed with firm, uniform pressure on a clean, dry surface without stretching the tape. Additionally, corners should be cut and butted together, and a thin bead of approved sealant should be applied at the intersection after removing the liner. The in-service temperature range is –40° to 180° (-40° to 82°C), and CRL Foam Glazing Tape is compatible with other sealing and glazing compounds.

Product Warning: CRL Vinyl Foam Glazing Tape must be compressed by 15% to maintain an effective seal. For larger lites, the use of a compression wedge gasket is recommended for achieving the required compression.
