CRL Saint-Gobain/Norton Thermalbond® Tape V2100 is an exceptional semi-rigid foam tape with an aggressive pressure-sensitive adhesive. This high-density tape boasts a specially formulated cellular substrate and is the go-to choice for controlling joint dimensions in structural silicone glazing systems. Widely used as a spacer tape for structural silicone systems, it has demonstrated superb performance in the following applications:

• Structural glazing spacer for field and shop glazing
• Ideal for two and four-sided structural silicone glazing systems 
• Chemically compatible with all silicones tested 
• Distinctive black color

For optimal results, it is important to consider the limitations:

Thermalbond® V2100 is a dedicated spacer material and is not designed to serve as a structural component. Its adhesive properties should not be integrated into the permanent fastening system or used to reduce the amount of silicone adhesive recommended by the silicone manufacturer. It is crucial to thoroughly clean contact surfaces and position V2100 carefully, as it cannot be repositioned after initial contact. In some cases, priming certain surfaces with Norton Tite-R-Bond Adhesion Promoter may be necessary.
