CRL Metal Tube Drills are specifically designed for use in our CRL Tripod Drill or similar type of drill machine. They are engineered to work with an abrasive grain such as CRL Silicon Carbide Grain to effectively "drill" holes in glass through rotational abrasion. The addition of a coolant (or water) to the abrasive forms a slurry, which is contained by a CRL Rubber Base Drilling Ring. The consistent and precise rotation of the Tube Drill against the glass guarantees the production of clean holes with minimal breakage or chipping. These drills are the economical solution to your glass drilling needs and come with a 1/4" (6.4 mm) diameter shank to fit most drilling machines.

Product Warning: It is crucial to always wear the proper safety gear, including eye protection, when drilling glass. Work should be carried out on a flat, horizontal surface. Additionally, a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter must be used when using any type of electric tool in conjunction with water or coolant. Failure to follow these precautions can result in operator injury.
