Product Overview
CRL Metal Tube Drills are specifically designed for use in our CRL Tripod Drill or similar type of drill machine. They are used with an abrasive grain, such as CRL Silicon Carbide Grain, to create holes in glass through rotational abrasion. A coolant (or water) is mixed with the abrasive to form a slurry, which is held in place by a CRL Rubber Base Drilling Ring. The consistent and steady rotation of the Tube Drill against the glass will result in a clean hole with minimal breakage or chipping. CRL Metal Tube Drills are a cost-effective solution for your glass drilling needs. They come with a 1/4" (6.4 mm) diameter shank to fit most drilling machines.
Features:
- One-piece construction for rigidity and durability
- A reliable method for drilling glass
Product Warning: Always wear appropriate safety gear, including eye protection, when drilling glass. Work should be done on a flat, horizontal surface. When using any type of electric tool in combination with water or coolant, a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter must be used. Failure to follow any of these precautions can result in operator injury.
